Tracy Elliott: Press Quotes

"Raw and emotionally charged lyrics combined
with an eclectic blend of rhythms and music"
Ralph Montage - Songwriter's Journey
Tracy Elliott’s independent CD release, Go Away, represents a well-rounded blend of folk inspired lyrics while she plays with idea of many musical influences. . The title track, Go Away, immediately introduces us to the combination of folk and good time rock-n-roll. It has a Springsteen feel to it while her lyrics are very much folk induced. She then turns to a much more edgy side with the punk influenced A Different Kind of Love. Her lyrics are fast and smooth complimenting the acoustic punk funk that surrounds her voice. Yet again we are taken by surprise by the track that shows even greater musical diversity entitled Story of Love. For this track, Tracy funks things up a bit, combining elements of blues inspired lyrics with a funk-based rhythm and jazzy horn lines. It’s a song that builds with intensity to an explosive saxophone solo. Finally, the ballads on the album show her emotion and depth as a songwriter. Overall, the album's diversity keeps you interested in what is coming next. Great debut CD!!!

Impressive, innovative, Recommended!

Tracy has that kind of voice that is at once a smoky, intoxicating mix of sensuality, and a caressing sultry sirens song. This very distinctive vocal delivery is a hint of what is to come. I can't wait!
